Charged with potential

In RenewEconomy we noticed this article about the planned Collie battery storage

The first stage of what will be Australia’s biggest battery project has been energised – little more than a year after securing its development contract – and will soon be in operation to help flatten the growing solar duck curve* in Western Australia’s main grid.

*The ‘duck curve’ is a graph of power production over the course of a day that shows the timing imbalance between peak demand and solar power generation. The graph resembles a sitting duck, and thus the term was created.

Solar Citizen

There is also an interesting website called Solar Citizens, who appear to be doing some good things in Queensland regarding the promoting of renewable energy. Their approach seems to be practical and not political, and the website provides some good ideas about campaigns PHCCIG could consider in the future.
