This month has, again, been very productive.
A Strategic Planning session was held at the Nearer to Nature centre in Mundaring in late August.
It was wonderful to be joined by local Nolan Hunter, Head of Engagement Uluru Statement and Emma Barratt from the Conservation Council of WA.
It was also great to get contributions from members, interested supporters and partners who were unable to attend, such as Transition Town Kalamunda.
Information, ideas and strategies were shared, for a positive future, carbon neutral future. A revised Strategic Plan will be released soon, watch this space!
Key project activities this month have been-
- preparations for Valuing Indigenous People, Biodiversity, Environment and Climate Change Outcomes and the Uluru Statement From the Heart fire pit yarning circle with Nolan Hunter,
- progress on the partnership with Millennium Kids for the Climate Change Toolkit and the
- release of our advocacy position about climate action and Perth Hills Local Governments.
- Preparations are also underway for a PHCCIG stall at the Forest Festival.
The PHCCIG AGM has been called for 10am 23rd October 2022. A notice is about to be sent to members. If you would like to become a member, please download and fill in the membership form here.
Hopefully – see you at the AGM,
Jen Griffiths, Acting Chair
