Well, it’s been another busy and constructive month!

Congratulations to Millennium Kids for securing a grant from Mundaring Shire to help fund a climate change forum. PHCCIG added its weight to the grant submission with committee members Cathy Levett and Jen Griffiths (our Youth Engagement team) doing a lot of work to get the application completed and submitted. With the help of the grant, Millennium Kids is running an Agents of Climate Change forum on 28 July. PHCCIG will continue to help.   I do encourage you to register (tickets are through the QR code on the flier). This forum is a great way to help young people develop a strong and reasoned voice on climate change action. And let’s give a round of applause to Mundaring Shire Council for voting to give more than $9,000 to support young people run a program that develops skills in reasoning and thinking together.

Some roles have recently changed on the Committee. The wonderful Ailsa Paterson has stepped down from the secretary role (Ailsa is now a committee member on leave of absence), as she’s gone to the UK for a few months to visit family and friends.  So, Helen Lynes, the previous Vice Chair, is now Acting Secretary, and Jennifer Griffiths is Vice Chair.

We know there are some amazing people reading this note and we’d love you to get more involved. There are lots of jobs that need doing, and we always welcome new ideas. So let us know if you can help out. You’d be very welcome.

Thanks.

Dr Stephan Millett, Chair
