On March 27 Millennium Kids (MK) (supported by Perth Hills Climate Change Interest Group and the Shire of Mundaring) ran a deliberative democracy day for youth in the Shire of Mundaring.
46 students aged 12 – 18, mostly from Helena College, Parkerville Steiner and Treetops schools attended.
Since the event Millennium Kids communication with the schools has resulted in a workshop at Parkerville Steiner College and plans for one at Helena College.
The schools have since been offered $1,000 from the MK donations fund to kick start their projects. The Mundaring Youth Grant Acquittal has been completed. PHCCIG has a copy of the report from the event and will continue to follow the progress of the student actions.
