North West Shelf gas project extension – CCWA meeting for appellants
Those of you who made an appeal against the North West shelf Extension in July 2022, you have been, or may soon be, invited to meet with the Appeals Convenor. The Conservation Council of WA (CCWA) is facilitating a meeting for appellants to discuss ways to engage meaningfully with this process.

Have your say on the WA government’s draft Forest Management Plan
Submissions on the WA draft Forest Management Plan are Due 18th December 2022
The northern jarrah/marri/wandoo forest ecosystem, which is across Perth Hills, is an internationally recognised biodiversity hotspot, and it was recently identified as one of a handful of Australian ecosystems most at risk due to climate change by the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, which said it was ‘highly confident’ that the ecosystem would ‘transition’ or ‘collapse’ as a result of a hotter and drier climate. The risk that this will happen is further exacerbated by a large number of factors such as clearing, inappropriate fire regimes, inappropriate housing developments, mining… and more.
